This Bronco Rear Bumper is part of the MTO Series (Made to Overland), and is compatible with all Bronco trim levels. Manufactured from high grade steel, it was designed to protect the rear end while maintaining high ground clearance. We've placed the license plate mount at the side of the bumper, in order to accommodate the Sasquatch package 35-inch tires, and to ensure the tail gate swings open freely. The bumper can fit up to a 37-inch tire on the OEM carrier above. To keep full visibility of the third brake light with a 37" spare, use our third brake light extension. Included with the new license plate bracket are license plate lights.

Two 3-inch flush mount pod lights can be mounted towards either side of the bumper. These can be wired to the reverse lights, or to a separate wiring harness in order to provide supplemental lighting at the rear of your Bronco while on the trail. There are 2 clevis mounts that take 3/4-inch D-ring shackles to provide recovery options. The MTO Series bumper includes sensor holes to retain full functionality of the factory backup sensors.

High Clearance Bronco Rear Bumper

FLUSH MOUNT POD LIGHT MOUNTS

This bumper has two rear facing mounts that will fit any 3" flush mount pod light. Shown in this image are our elite series flush mount pod lights (BE3FMW40W).

RETAINS FACTORY BACKUP SENSORS

The MTO series rear bumper is made to accept both style Bronco parking sensors (from both the metal and plastic factory bumper options). If your model did not come with parking sensors, we include parking sensor plugs to fill those holes.

MOUNTING POINTS FOR 3/4" D-RINGS

Two reinforced mounting points for 3/4-inch D-rings provide recovery options if you manage to get stuck on the trail.

The bumper looks great and easy to install but there is a problem with the with the blind spot sensors

So the bumper is a great look and has given my badlands an even better aggressiveness. The installation was very straightforward. However, the sensors were a pain to install. Moreso, my blind spot sensor keeps going off at random times because of the license plate relocation. If I knew about the sensor issues I would have gone with a different bumper.

We have tested the blind spot sensors on various vehicles and have not been able to duplicate the issue stated. We offer a different type of license plate relocation bracket that we can send at no charge, if needed.

Not happy

I love the look of my bumper BUT no where does it indicate an issue with the blind spot sensors. Had I known it was an issue I would not have purchase the bumper. I didn't want the plate on the spare which is why i chose this bumper. When I took it back to the shop, after the blind spot sensor would intermittently indicate someone on my driver side when there was no one there, they called DV8 who said they are aware of the issue. Now I have to purchase another bracket to relocate my plate. NOT THE LOOK I WANT. A disclaimer with the potential issue on the website would be nice.

Easy Peazy...

The back bumper was WAY more easy to install then the front. In fact I had a cast on my left are and I was still able to install the bumper by myself. Just like the front bumper the fitment and finish were nice. If I was going to make a change it would be to how the proximately sensors install. I made sure that I kept them exactly as the came from the factory bumper but I am still not quite that happy with the fit. Some it has to do with the thickness of the new bumper versus the stock, but I think a redesign with the sensors in mind would be a good thing. Again the installation instructions were good. All in all this was a clean and easy install

Bronco MTO rear bumper

Great upgrade over the OE plastic bumpers. Packaging was great and bumper was well protected.
Fit was perfect, no hole mis-matching at all. Pod lights fit as designed. Only wish would be for a bumper mounted spare tire mount which would help the tailgate with oversized tire/wheels.
