The DV8 Offroad TCJL-03 HD Easy Open Hinge Replacement Spare Tire Carrier provides OEM style access to the rear of your Wrangler JL, and can accommodate up to a 38-inch tire. This tire carrier will help you to get groceries in and out of your Jeep, but make no mistake, this tire carrier isn’t just for grocery runs. It has been tested on some of the toughest trails in the world, and hasn’t let us down yet. It works by completely replacing the factory hinge with a stout hardened steel hinge for ultimate durability.

a little dissappointed

very solid heavy carrier however we are using a 37 inch tire a gear offroad wheel. the door sags way worse the the factory set up did , the kit includes 2 chincy shims to be used in this case, 2 is not nearly enough so now i will have to fabricate more , basically tear down the whole thing again and start over. thats the part that bugs me , but im sure once i have it working as designed it will last as it is a well built kit.

Very nice carrier

Really liked the way this came out, was fairly easy to install, but would make sure you have some experience with tailgates, etc. Instructions are basic in pdf format. Of note: the pdf doesn't mention spacers for the taillgate, but pay attention to where the gate hangs and how. Very heavy duty. Love it
