Our Jeep JL & Gladiator Heat Dispersion Hood is constructed from stamped steel, offering added strength and reduced heat. This design provides an increased airflow with its vented layout, and allows engine heat to disperse through those vents. This keeps the engine and compartment temps down while crawling, when airflow can become a problem. This results in all-around increased performance.

Our hoods come with an under-hood insulation liner and are prepped with a rust inhibitor. The hood ships ready to be painted, and installed.

Love the hood, love how it makes the gladiator look more aggressive

I got this hood as a part of a custom paint job. I felt like this hood brought some aggression that lacks in the stock Rubicon hood. My painter and I debated several days on how to best color the various aspects of the hood, but ultimately decided on what you see in the pics. I had custom gel 3D Rubicon decals made to fit in the grooves of the center rise. They are 27"x2.5" and were made in Turkey because I could not find any companies in the US that made them. I cant speak about the install process since I had it installed. I also got aftermarket hood latches, but not from DV8 because they didn't have solid black. Overall I love this hood and am glad to have made the purchase. Side note, the customer service is amazing.

There were issues, but it was handled

Recieved the first hood and it was pretty much smashed. It was not the fault of DV8, but the shipping company. The next day DV8 sent out a replacement hood. That one arrived unscathed. DV8 handled it great. No run around at all, just sent the pics of the damage.
Probably some of the best customer service I have had. Highly recommend.

Great Addition

This hood definitely helps to make my JL stand out. It really does seem great for heat dispersion. I can even see the heat rising from the cowls from the engine after and while driving. My only concern is about rain water routing. It seems like there may be a system that diverts some water away from the engine bay, but I haven't heard anything from DV8 to verify if that is true. I would love for DV8 to speak about it.
